This article is about concentration. Concentration is a discipline and an art. It is an important subject because so few of us really know how to concentrate on a job till it is finished. We get side-tracked and distracted. I intend to discuss a few ways we can improve our concentration.
Examples of concentration
I like watching baseball pitchers on TV. They are a picture of concentration. They have only one thing in mind, and that's the next pitch. Though they have to watch for signals and keep track of that runner on base, they are keenly zeroed in on the batter with the intention of getting him out. Their eyes show they are looking at the strike zone and the exact place they want the ball to go. When you are typing, concentrate on what you are doing and then you won't have to edit so many times. Concentrate on the person you are with and remember everything they said. I know some people who never forget names. It is usually because they concentrate when they are introduced. In your business, remember you are growing not just a business and making money but also growing as an individual.

But this is about your business goals which you need to make a priority if you want to succeed. Write out five high value tasks you need to complete. if you can't think of five, then three. They could be to write an article, or check your ads if you are doing a campaign, or send out emails. Or it could be do some reading or research. It will all depend on the stage you are at.
2. Break these goals down into bite size actions.
If one of your goals is very large and cannot really be accomplished in one day, then break it down into what can reasonably be accomplished in one or two hours. If you do this then you will have that sense of achievement which energizes you for the next task on your list.
3. Make Sure your goals are achievable
Be sure your goals are specific and achievable -- small steps towards your larger purpose, the reason why you want to make money from home. For instance one of your goals could be to read a chapter in an inspirational book or if you are a person of faith, a chapter or two in the Bible. Another goal could be to spend an hour researching how to do AdWords. In some cases your goals will be time specific such as the reading I just suggested -- an hour or a chapter. In essence the latter is economics 101, you must reduce the size of the public sector to allow the private sector to grow; but the school of thought against that thinking has merit too. To place it in simple terms in the cold winter months you can always put more cloths on to stay warm, but in the hot summer months you can only take so much clothing off. It is a pick your poison remedy between deflation and inflation, and unless you are at the top levels of government your only society power is your ability to vote for the persons that appears to glimmer your views the closest.
Years ago the big corporations employed the majority of our working population. In more recent years the small businesses comprised to become the largest employment pool of our society. At time of this posting small business remains the primary creator of new jobs, however 60% of them are through the creation of new small businesses, much of which is single employment or self employment. The trend has begun toward the self employed home business owner being the majority. These individuals not of a collected group are becoming their own driving force by solitarily empowering themselves through home business ownership, and as such are creating the paradigm that will be the next driving force of our economies.
